We invite you to take part in the International scientific and practical conference "Democracy and Education: Teaching and Learning Democracy in Primary School and in Teacher Education".

The conference is held within the joint project of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University and the Faculty of Humanities, Sports and Educational Science of the University of South-Eastern Norway "Development of the Culture of Democracy in Teacher Education in Ukraine, Norway and Palestine"

Democracy and Education:

Teaching and Learning Democracy in Primary School

and in Teacher Education

The purpose of the conference: Consolidation of efforts of the educational community in understanding democracy in education, dissemination of successful stories within the framework of the project, and best practices for the implementation of democratic transformations in primary and higher education.

Areas of work during the conference:

  1. Challenges and prospects of democracy in modern pedagogical education.
  2. Teachers Competencies for the 21st-century: democracy in teaching.
  3. Democratic changes in the Ukrainian education system.
  4. Modern pedagogical technologies in training and education of future teachers.

To participate in the conference are invited: scientific and pedagogical workers and researchers, teachers and heads of higher educational institutions, doctoral students, school psychologists, teachers.

 

 Conference procedure:

 

 April 21, 2021 -   reports of keynote speakers of the conference (10.30 to 17.00)

 April 22, 2021 – parallel sessions, workshops, discussions (10.00 to 16.00)

 

 All conference participants will receive a certificate of participation.

 Participation in the conference is free.

 Official languages of the conference: English, Ukrainian.

 Conference procedure - online on the Zoom platform;

  Materials sent to the conference will be published in the conference abstracts collection (Appendix 1) and in the scientific e-journal "Teacher's professionalism: theoretical and methodological aspects", Ukrainian specialized edition of category "B".

Procedure for submission of materials:

May 1, 2021 – submission of articles;

June 1, 2021 – reviewing articles.

Requirements for the design of articles and templates are available for download on the website of the e-magazine "Teacher's professionalism: theoretical and methodological aspects" 

Ukrainian specialized edition of category "B".

 

Reviewing, editing, assigning DOI, publishing an article on the publication's website is included in the price. The cost of publishing the article is UAH 900.
